These images were created for a variety of purposes, as you can see by looking through them. They are all of people – young, old, in groups, alone, in black and white, in color, outside, inside. The people seen here are aware of the camera, and are posing into some position or another, sometimes at my direction, but often moving there on their own. It is this collaboration that defines portraiture, and sets it apart from editorial photography, where the purpose is to carry some sort of narrative about what you see.
